Evidence reference: 300.10.021

Document date: 1940

The full 1940 index lists Angeline Criola, 58, Italy, widowed (displayed Widower), head on Flournoy Street, same house in 1935; children James 38, Nicholas 37, Charles 35, Fred 26, Rose 25, Antoinette 24, Marie 22, Carmella 20, Anna 18. Cook County ED 103-1865, page 3A, family 51, roll T627-980, frame 648, line 22. Several ages differ materially from 1930; do not silently harmonize. The index identifies these people as children of Angeline, supporting maternity for the household but not by itself proving her maiden name or Carmella’s later married identity.
