John Blair Linn, History of Centre and Clinton Counties, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia: Louis H. Everts, 1883), Bellefonte Borough, printed page 231. The page names Alexander Diven among early lot owners (No. 35) and says he erected a dwelling in 1797. This supports a Bellefonte association, but his identity as the proposed ancestor and his parent-child links remain unconfirmed.
