Philadelphia County Register of Wills, Will Book G, pp. 162–163, no. 134. Wichert Levering of Roxborough Township, Philadelphia County, joiner; executed 23 August 1742; proved 7 February 1744/5 (dual-year date written in the register; conventionally 1745 when the year begins 1 January). Ancestry, Pennsylvania, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1683–1993, Wills, Vol F-H, 1736–1748, image 271/693 (007726373_00271), inspected 7 October 2026. Historical registered copy, not the loose signed original. Gives £10 each to daughters Catherine, Amelia and Sibilla, and sons-in-law Peter Indehoven and William Tunes. Son William Levering is sole executor and residuary beneficiary. Witnesses William Levering, smith, Hannah Levering and Thomas York. The witness William should not automatically be merged with the executor. No wife, parents, birth date, birthplace or exact death date are supplied. Jacob is not named. Roxborough, the spelling variant and probate timing strongly correlate with the compiled John Wigard Levering, but this will alone does not establish Wigard–Jacob parentage. The index spelling is Wickert and index year 1744 reflects the old-style year; it is not evidence of death in calendar 1744. Existing 2 February 1745 death is compatible but not proved by this document. The reported 1648/1649 birth, 1674 marriage and European parentage remain compilation-based.
