Original images inspected in authenticated Chrome on October 17, 2026. The attached six-page packet preserves five source images and the correlation assessment. It supports John Stransky as a son of Casper Stransky, already recorded as Ida Stransky Polityka’s father. The relationship is supported by a recurring family group and original records, not merely a matching surname.
1900 census: June 12, Shenandoah ward 5, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, ED 173, sheet 18A, dwelling 299/family 302, lines 37–44; address 511 West Strawberry Alley. Casper is indexed Stan; John is explicitly his son, age 2, born August 1897 Pennsylvania. Ink damage obscures other names; the daughter later identified as Ida is not claimed independently legible here. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/7602/records/42474190
1910 census: April 19, same address, ED 92, sheet 17A, dwelling 237/family 284, lines 15–24. Caspar (indexed Casbar Saronskie), wife Mary and children include Ida 17, explicitly daughter, and John 12, explicitly son, both Pennsylvania-born. Other named children include Frank, Mamie, Leo, Chas, Stella and Thomas. This is the key childhood bridge. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/7884/records/25871384
Republican and Herald, January 9, 1917, p. 3: original clipping names Casper Staranski, 58, at 415 West Arlington Street and sons Joseph, Frank, John, Leo and Charles. Daughter names are incomplete; do not normalize Mrs. Alex Pietrewicz or Mrs. Ralbyki as established identities. Public scan shared by Kimberly Stransky in Ancestry; two uploads reproduce the SAME notice. https://www.newspapers.com/article/republican-and-herald-casper-staranski/169302935/ and https://www.ancestry.com/mediaui-viewer/collection/1030/tree/187135922/person/342448495678/media/c89e903f-7980-4490-9356-571d9f1f453c
September 12, 1918 draft: John Joseph Storanski/Staranski, 511 West Arlington, Shenandoah; explicitly mother Mary at same address. Native-born checked; December 9, 1899 and age 19 conflict internally at registration. This is not proof of military service. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/6482/records/10609037
1920 census: January 2, Shenandoah ward 5, ED 135, sheet 1A, dwelling/family 4, lines 16–23; Alex and Ida Politick, their children, and Frank 28/John 21 Stranlsky as boarders, 409 West Arlington Avenue. Likely the later Ida/John household, but John’s Poland birth and immigration 1907 conflict with childhood records and draft; preserve the discrepancy. https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/6061/records/12587046
Existing original 1940 census, 1942 draft and 1953 death certificate link John to Ida’s household. Ida’s original 1971 death certificate names Casper as father. Together these support the childhood sibling identification. Parent link can be added while exact birth date/place remain disputed. Retain all original notes; do not import other public-tree relatives or dates. Mary’s maiden identity and the exact birth record remain research questions. Original full 1953 obituary remains uninspected.
