Original handwritten marriage entry visually inspected October 18, 2026. First Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, Church Register 1806–1946, Presbyterian Historical Society accession V Mi46 P477rr V.4; Ancestry61048 image44861_3421606200_0700-00208, viewer196 of219, record1500472240. Entry reads 1809 Dec.6, Thomas Wallace to Susanna Noris of Philada; the surname is indexed Norris. An ink mark between the bride’s forename and surname is unclear. The source actually says Susanna, not Hannah. This is a candidate for the marriage in Wallace Bible transcript WEB-20261018-051320-86490794, which says Thomas Wallace married Hannah Garrigue Norris on December6 with the year blank. Matching groom, surname, day/month, and church make it relevant, but the Susanna/Hannah conflict is unresolved. Do not silently correct the bride’s name, assume Susanna was Hannah’s nickname, or promote 1809 to a confirmed marriage date for the target couple. Alternative identity or another marriage remains possible. The same register contains William’s1817 baptism to Thomas/Hannah, but this does not by itself equate the two brides. Attachment is an unaltered browser screenshot of the original relevant portion, not a full-page original download. Association with William is research context; no new spouse/parent link or residence entered for this uncertain candidate.
