Giuseppe Maria Fiore — San Lorenzo Maggiore birth act 53, 1881

28 October 2026 attachment update: Joe supplied Giuseppe.png and Giuseppe.jpg. Both contain identical PNG bytes,943×864. Giuseppe.png is now saved and SHA256-verified. It is a CROPPED DETAIL showing 'di sesso maschile', not the complete birth act. The header, complete names/date and marginal context are not fully included. Full-page original retrieval remains outstanding; do not treat attachment presence as completion of original preservation.

Original civil birth act visually inspected again 28 October 2026. Archivio di Stato di Benevento, San Lorenzo Maggiore, Nati 1881, unit 7101, image 37/82, act 53, registered 15 August 1881. The child is named Giuseppe Maria and explicitly described as maschile (male), born 14 August 1881, son of Alfonso Fiore and Filomena Barbato. This supports retaining Giuseppe, male, for the existing 1881 profile. FamilySearch index QGJV-Z69R independently transcribes male and the same birth date: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGJV-Z69R . This does not identify the separately indexed Giuseppa, age 11, in the April 1901 passenger list. Download status: original readable at Antenati, but image retrieval and supported browser asset download were blocked on 28 October 2026; no original attachment yet. A catalog citation is not a saved original. Do not treat this source as female-name confirmation. Father age transcription was corrected in prior research from tentative 31 to 39; see Alfonso profile's full assessment.
