Supporting originals inspected and saved 28 October 2026: Marineo marriage supplements, 1887, DGS 007102262, item 3. Images 1079–1080: Palermo San Nicola birth extract, act 581, volume 668. Antonino De Caro was born 18 June 1851, registered 21 June 1851; father Luciano De Caro, mother Girolama Daleo. Copy issued 18 January 1887. Image 1081: Marineo birth extract, act 345. Maria Cira La Sala was born 30 December 1861, registered 31 December 1861; father Ciro La Sala, mother Giuseppa Diluvio (surname reading). Copy issued 1 February 1887. Image 1083: Palermo certificate 1122, dated 28 January 1887, reports no marriage indexed from 1865 to that date for Antonino, son of Luciano and Girolama Daleo. All four full original JPGs are attached in addition to the marriage page. These resolve the earlier uncertainty about the groom's parental names but establish the 1887 groom's identity only. The 1911 wife Giuseppa remains unidentified with Maria Cira; do not merge them or treat the placement as biological parentage or legal adoption. Next: compare the 1887 banns and subsequent Marineo death/remarriage records, then identify Brooklyn contact Carmelo La Sala and his siblings using matching parents. Earlier marriage reading (groom's parental uncertainty now resolved by the supporting extracts): Original civil marriage register visually inspected 28 October 2026. Marineo, Palermo, Sicily, marriages 1887, act 18, right-hand page 10; FamilySearch DGS 007101152, item 41, image 12/49. Date reads 26 February 1887. Groom Antonino De Caro, celibe, age 35, scarpellino (stonecutter), born Palermo, resident Marineo. Bride Maria Cira La Sala, nubile, age 25, casalinga, born/resident Marineo, daughter of deceased Ciro and Giuseppa (maternal surname appears Dilluvio; tentative). Groom's parental names need a firmer reading and are not entered as new people. The couple's exact names, Marineo residence, deceased Ciro and stone/masonry trade correlate strongly with Elvira Fastuca's foundling-placement booklet 208, page 3 (300.20.003/006). This identifies a specific married caregiver couple but does NOT prove their biological parentage of Elvira, legal adoption, or identity with the 1911 travelling couple whose wife is called Giuseppa. Retain that given-name conflict. Link to the existing Antonino and Giuseppa profiles is a qualified research association only. No parent/spouse edges or birth dates changed. Original is a full downloaded JPG, not OCR text or screenshot.
