Original four-page county PDF supplied free by Cumberland County Archives on 5 November 2026, subject “scans from Cumberland County Archives,” attachment “Admin acct Diven D 73.pdf.” All four PDF pages visually examined by Archive AI on 5 November 2026. Original PDF preserved unchanged; tape and physical damage obscure parts of the account.

Page 1 docket: administration account of James Divin Senior deceased by John Divin and Joseph Divin, filed 7 April 1823; court 14 May 1823; entered page 419. Pages 2–3: account headed John Divin and Joseph Divin, executors of the testament and last will of James Divin the elder, late of Tyrone Township. It contains estate receipts/property proceeds, interest and expenses, including treatment of purchase money retained subject to the widow’s life interest. Both sign on page 3; register examined/passed the account 13 May 1823. Page 4 court order, 14 May 1823: charges $6,954.21 less allowances $689.86 leaves $6,264.35, expressly “subject to distribution according to the will.” It includes compensation allowances $125 to Joseph and $75 to John; these are executor allowances, not a list of heirs’ inheritances. Compare the previously preserved court-book approval WEB-20261102-060316-4bbf16bf.

CORRECTION: the county’s preliminary email described John and James as administrators. The original heading, cover and signatures identify JOHN AND JOSEPH as executors. Follow the originals and retain the email wording only as superseded provenance.

Parentage assessment: This is the detailed executor account plus approval, not a schedule of actual distribution or the individual $50-grandchild receipts. No inspected passage names Junior’s four children as recipients under Senior’s will. The account therefore does not establish that Nancy/Ann Parkison’s husband James Junior was Senior’s deceased son James, and does not justify merging the two profiles. The will’s $50 bequest to each child of deceased son James remains in 600.30.006 and companion pages; named payment receipts or corresponding guardian credits remain outstanding. Negative finding is limited to these supplied pages, not all surviving estate papers. Unreadable damaged text is not silently reconstructed.
