Research update, 17 October 2026: the previously undated reference is confirmed in the 1914 Chicago city directory, p. 1630, image 775/1002. Under Traina it reads “Jos lab h917 Milton av”, alongside separate entries for Angelo, Frank and Jos Jr. This establishes residence and laborer occupation in 1914, not a move-in date or kinship. Original image preserved in WEB-20261018-005755-449e6871. Identity with Giuseppe Giusto or another Joseph Traina remains unresolved. “Jr” in the other listing does not by itself prove that he was this person’s son.
