Earlier archive notes (preserved):

9 October 2026 — Original probate corroboration The original 1846 will names wife Catharine and nine child branches: sons Elhanan W., Nathan L., Peter A.; daughters Mary Langstroth, Elizabeth Urner, Hannah Riehle, Clementine Lynd (widow), Susanna Backus; and children of deceased daughter Margaret Canedo, late wife of Cipriano Canedo. These distinctive names corroborate the existing family group and support the recorded father links. Catharine’s renunciation, dated 2 June 1849, explicitly calls the three executors her sons, supporting her maternity of those three sons only. The will calls Peter a yeoman of Germantown, County of Philadelphia, on 16 March 1846. This is residence at that date, not a move-in date. Source: [[evidence:WEB-20261009-193806-60b87eca|Original Peter Keyser will and probate images]], Philadelphia estate no.205 (1849), will dated 16 March 1846; Ancestry collection 8802, images 004164630_00040–00044. Inspected 9 October 2026. Original probate papers; distinctive family cluster matches the existing compiled family. Exact vital dates and unsupported relationships in earlier notes remain qualified.

Earlier archive notes (preserved): 8 October 2026 - Clemens and earlier Keyser research, third round

Hotchkin pp. 225-226 adds a business and church narrative: Peter engaged in the Philadelphia lumber trade from 1794 to 1828, with his brother-in-law George Gorgas, on Front Street above Callowhill. It reports his ordination as elder on 2 August 1802. Page 226 explicitly calls his wife Catherine of Horsham, daughter of Garret and Keturah Clemens, and gives their marriage as 30 March 1790. This is a late historical account, partly furnished by Dr. Peter D. Keyser, not an original marriage or ordination entry. The source's place wording describes Catherine's association, not necessarily her birthplace.

Page 132 expands the family of Peter Keyser and Catherine Clemens to twelve named children: Elhanan Winchester, Mary, Nathan Levering, Charles, Elizabeth, Hannah, twins Clementine and Susanna, Peter Augustus, William Edward, Sarah Ann, and Margaretta. The twin daughters are both assigned September 11, 1803. The book places the parents’ marriage on March 30, 1790. These additional children and dates are compiled family-history claims; no original birth registers have been inspected for them.

The 1889 Keyser genealogy, p. 128, lists Peter, born 9 November 1766 and died 21 May 1849, among the children of Peter Keyser and first wife Hannah Levering. Page 132 gives his marriage to Catherine Clemens on 30 March 1790 and their son Elhanan Winchester Keyser, born 23 February 1791. Parentage and dates are attributed to this historical compilation; original corroboration remains pending. Do not confuse him with his father Peter (1732–1818).
