Provisional—published historical directory transcription (Jinji Koshinroku, fourth edition, January 1915). Original family registers not inspected. No mother inferred from a father’s marriage. The historical Sugi–Tejima collateral branch does not resolve the identity bridge between Rei’s grandfather Ichiro and the directory grandson. Japanese given names retain source characters where pronunciation is unverified. Further October 27 research: 1928 directory lists five children, elder brother Toyohisa and younger sister Yoshi.
