John Wright conveyed Franklin land to Alexander Stewart on 17 March 1866. Both men are described as residents of Davenport, Delaware County, New York. The consideration is $4,000. Two adjoining tracts are each described as about 108 acres; the first is Lot 15, Great Lot 4, Bedlington Patent. Alexander agreed to pay a mortgage originally $3,000, dated 14 November 1865, from Wright to James A. Pierson. Recorded 23 March 1866 at 4 p.m., volume 61, pages 147–148, images 79–80 of 729, DGS 007139294. Original enlarged images inspected. The matching grantor, date, land description and recording reference connect this purchase to the 1894 heirs deed. It establishes residence in Davenport at the transaction date, not the exact date he moved to Franklin. No parentage is stated.
