Deed dated 17 January 1881 names Alexander Stewart and Margaret Stewart his wife, of Franklin, Delaware County, New York, conveying land for $13 to Common School District No. 17 in Franklin and Walton. The grant permits use while the property serves as a common schoolhouse site or for common school purposes. Original heading and school-use clause inspected; the machine transcription also reports 21 square rods, a survey dated 12 November 1880, acknowledgment 3 August 1881, and recording 21 November 1882 at 10 a.m.; those fine details remain unconfirmed against an adequately enlarged original. Page 342, image 177 of 365, Delaware deeds 1882–1883. This is a strong same-couple match to the Franklin family, but no parents are named.
