CURRENT ASSESSMENT — October 27, 2026: Original act64, San Lorenzo Maggiore Nati1891, unit7111, image45/82, registered August17, records Rocco Luigi born August16,1891 to Alfonso Fiore, age49, shoemaker, and his wife Filomena Barbato. Reinspected original at https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua2723151/Ly83J7q . The newly found June5,1917 Chicago draft (WEB-20261028-021533-be756c08), signed Luigi Fiore and misindexed Louis Tiori, independently gives the same full birth date and S. Lorenzo Maggiore birthplace. Its 3139 W. Polk address and shoemaker occupation match the original October19,1918 death certificate (300.10.016), which names Alfonse Fiore and Filomena Barboro. This correlation now supports the Chicago–Italian identity and parent links saved on Luigi’s profile. Bracigliano was a contributed-tree claim, not an original birthplace. Preserve the draft age26/completed age25 and death-record maternal surname variant. This birth act alone does not name Alfred; see Luigi’s profile for the separate baptism/family identity chain. Prior index https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG62-T6G8 .

SUPERSEDED EARLIER ASSESSMENT (retained as research history): Rocco Luigi Fiore is indexed born 16 August 1891 at San Lorenzo Maggiore, Benevento, Campania, certificate 64, parents Alfonso Fiore and Filomena Barbato. The date and parental names resemble the contributed tree and the Chicago Louis Fiore death record, but San Lorenzo Maggiore conflicts with the contributed Bracigliano birthplace. The index does not independently establish that this person fathered Alfred. Retain both locality claims with their source types; do not replace the birthplace or add ancestral parent links yet.
