Haydock and Longstreth court papers, 1819–1823 — collateral Rebecca research

Original Philadelphia Orphans' Court papers viewed through Ancestry, Pennsylvania Wills and Probate Records 1683–1993, DGS 007726736, volume29 pp80–81. Image527: Elizabeth Haydock expressly identifies herself as daughter of deceased Eden Haydock, late Philadelphia, minor above14 seeking guardian. Image531: Mary A. Haydock, widow and relict of Eden Haydock, late Philadelphia plumber, says he left five children; she names Eden, Henry, and Martha as minors under14 requiring guardians. Image529: Samuel Haydock affirms on24November1823 that personal property probably coming to guardians for Eden's minor children does not exceed $3,000. These are collateral family evidence, NOT proof that Rebecca Haydock was Hannah Norris/Wallace's mother; no maternity or identity merger is authorized by these papers. Additional original: Howell Longstreth signed guardian petition, Philadelphia Orphans' Court vol27 p331, No25, November19,1819. DGS007726585 images339 (dated wrapper) and340 (petition) name DANIEL THOMAS and DAVID EVANS as guardians. Howell states he is a minor above14. No parent names or Hannah Wallace reference occur in this petition. This original supports Daniel rather than the McAllister catalog's David Thomas; retain that discrepancy pending comparison of the separately cataloged appointment instrument. Both original files are attached.
