THE STUART FAMILY ARCHIVE
Annie Traina (1930 reference)
- Recorded life status
- unknown
Documented connection: Annie is the wife recorded with Joe Traina (spelled/indexed Triano) in the April 9, 1930 census at 1816 Erie Street, Chicago. She is linked to [[person:giuseppe_giusto_traina|Giuseppe Giusto Traina]] as an OTHER DOCUMENTED CONNECTION identifying this census-wife reference, not as a newly asserted second marriage. Whether Annie is the same person as [[person:giovanna_favaro|Giovanna Favaro]] remains unresolved. No identity merge or new marriage event is asserted.
The family compilation 300.00.001 specifically names Annie in Giuseppe Giusto's 1930 household at this address. The original, [[evidence:WEB-20261025-145733-68b8ea7a|1930 census, ED 16-2690, sheet 7B, lines 55–57]], enumerated April 9, records Joe, head, 77; Annie, wife, 66; Mammie, daughter, 21. All born Italy, immigration recorded 1911. Annie's maiden name is absent. The exact street/date and household match the compilation. Joe's implied birth about 1852–1853 is also consistent with his age 29 in the 1883 marriage (WEB-20261025-174120-ac5e9b54) and age 58 in the 1912 family manifest (WEB-20261025-151843-7ccfb8df), despite his conflicting 1937 death-certificate birth year 1866.
Annie's census age implies about 1863–1864, not an exact birth date. The census immigration year 1911 differs from the family's documented 1912 arrival. Mammie may correspond to Dominica Mae; that census-name identification remains qualified. The census wife relationship alone does not prove Annie was Mammie's biological mother.
The 1932 Anna Traina death certificate at the same address, WEB-20261018-002315-0892be14, remains a candidate: its age/birth year and father's name conflict. Anna's original Mount Carmel card, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-XCTW-L2J (DGS 004371526, image 5210), confirms burial July 16, 1932, age 54, Chicago State Hospital, section 28/block 16/lot 32, but gives no kinship or maiden name. No candidate death/burial event is applied here.
Research task e3af9e61-3fde-4d75-8888-02e664e8415a remains OPEN for identity reconciliation. Mapping the explicitly documented connection does not resolve the Annie/Giovanna/Anna identity or date/parentage conflicts. Originals and correlation reviewed October 25, 2026.
