Original-record update — October 6, 2026: Mrs. Cora K. Scott’s original Pennsylvania death certificate (file 26747) names her father A. Jackson Kendig and mother maiden Eliza Jane Reese. Combined with the 1880 Kendig household [700.10.001], Margaret Elizabeth Scott’s original 1910 birth certificate naming mother Cora Kendig and father C. Edward Scott (CHARLES inserted), and Eliza’s recorded will naming Cora Kendig Scott, these records complete the previously missing cross-record link between childhood Cora Kendig and married Cora Scott. Birth and parentage are retrospective reported information. Its age 70 years 10 months 14 days does not match the explicit dates and remains a source discrepancy. The place header is Valley Township, Chester County; she was pronounced dead at Coatesville Hospital, but the narrative says she died in the ambulance en route. Burial was recorded March 18, 1941 at Upper Octorara, Chester County. The spouse link to Charles Edward Scott is supported; no exact marriage date is established by these certificates.
