Joanna Traina (baptismal reference)

The family compilation names Joanna with Giuseppe as Joseph Gus's godparent and describes her as his paternal grandmother. The original St Philip Benizi baptism, printed p.618, image 691/1074, September 26, 1914, explicitly names Joanna Traina and Joseph Justus Traina as sponsors of [[person:joseph_gus_traina|Joseph Gus Traina II]], born September 15 to Joseph Traina and Rosa Puccio. [[evidence:WEB-20261025-142113-d3cacb5a|Original 1914 baptism]]. DOCUMENTED CONNECTION: Joanna is linked to Joseph Gus II under Other documented family connections specifically as his baptismal godmother. This is a sacramental sponsorship connection, not a biological parent, spouse or independently proved grandmother relationship. The source does not state her age or maiden name. The original November 2, 1913 parents' marriage names the groom's mother Joanna Favaro and father Justus Joseph; [[evidence:WEB-20261025-142650-aea2c805|Original parental marriage]]. This strongly supports correlation with [[person:giovanna_favaro|Giovanna Favaro]], but the reference remains separate until identity is resolved. The grandmother description remains a family-compilation claim, not wording in the baptism. Open research task e3af9e61-3fde-4d75-8888-02e664e8415a retains that identity question.
