Susannah Levering

Research update — 7 October 2026. Benjamin Levering’s historical registered will, executed 15 May 1801 and proved 10 March 1804, names wife Catharine, son Michael Levering and son-in-law Peter Widener (WEB-20261007-055601-ae4f8881; Philadelphia Will Book 1, pp. 188–189). This provides independent corroboration for the Benjamin/Catharine/Peter family cluster reported in the 1897 genealogy. It does NOT individually name Susannah or identify Peter’s wife. Her parentage, marriage date, birth and death details below therefore remain compiled claims pending a direct record. Do not treat this will as proof that Catharine Righter was Susannah’s biological mother: the maiden surname and specific mother–daughter relationship are unstated. The later Margaret Weidner–John Kendig–Andrew Jackson Kendig connection also still needs original evidence.
