The original June 3, 1880 census records Wm. H. Wallace, 36, physician, at 103 35th Street, Philadelphia, with wife Anna, 33, and daughters Katie, 6; Mary, 5; Annie, 3; and Bessie, 2. All six and their recorded parents are Pennsylvania-born. The original June 1, 1900 census shows the same address and physician, age 56, born May 1844, married 27 years; wife Anna L., 53, born November 1846; and four unmarried daughters Catharine, Mary E., Anna L., and Elizabeth. He owns the home free of mortgage. These consistent households support identification and the daughters’ relationship to him. The genealogy’s Annie Lynn and the 1900 Anna L. appear to be the same daughter; the earlier passport’s Agnes L. wording remains a name conflict, not a new spouse.

Anna L. Wallace’s original death certificate identifies her as his widow on June 4, 1929, in Wayne/Radnor, Delaware County. The husband is written Wm Henry Wallace. This independently corroborates the marriage and establishes that he had died by that date. It does not independently establish the wedding date or his exact death date.

His original Pennsylvania death certificate (31821) records death on 1 March 1927 at Wayne, Radnor Township, Delaware County; birth 28 May 1844 in Philadelphia; retired physician; father Wm. Henry Wallace and mother Katharine Frances Keyser, both Philadelphia-born. Wife Anna L. Wallace was the informant, so parental details are retrospective. Burial was recorded for 4 March at St. Davids. The 1889 Keyser genealogy, p. 132, independently reports his birth date and his marriage to Annie M. Lynn on 28 May 1873; its spelling is preserved as a source variant.

Earlier archive notes (preserved): William Henry Wallace 3rd great-grandfather of James Family-document context and compiled genealogy; original relationship records pending Birth: 28 May 1844, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Death: 1 Mar 1927, Radnor, Pennsylvania Recorded parents: William Henry Wallace , Katharine Frances Keyser . Relationship estimate: 80% — uncertain. Subjective research estimate based on family testimony or a compiled pedigree; original relationship records have not all been checked. Sources: HISTORY · DIVEN Wallace passport review: William Henry Wallace swore on 5 April 1910 that he was born in Philadelphia on 28 May 1844, resided in Radnor, Pennsylvania, and worked as a physician. Application 23771, image 210 of 964, bears an issue stamp of 7 April 1910. He planned to return within six months; the application does not establish that travel occurred. His father is described as a U.S. citizen but not named. The descriptive age is 66, although the stated birth date implies 65 on the application date. The family section names Agnes L. Wallace, born Philadelphia 28 December 1876, and Elizabeth Wallace, born Philadelphia 8 June 1878. The printed word minor is struck through. Their exact relationships require corroboration; do not accept the index’s spouse label for “Anges L Wallace” as a new marriage or replace Anna Mary Linn. The matching birth date, residence and profession strongly support identification with the project’s William Henry Wallace. FamilySearch index: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKDX-BFJL. No new family relationships are asserted from the ambiguous form. [600.10.001]
