Felicia Muratora. Birth: 14 Apr 1882, Partanna, Italy (original birth act, corroborated by husband’s petition). Source 300.10.047. Exact death date remains unverified. The original 1921 passenger manifest records Felicia Muratore, age 40, married, last resident at Partanna. She traveled with sons Francesco, 15, and Antonio, 12, to husband Saverio Monasteri at 938 W. Grand Avenue, Chicago. She names her brother Giuseppe Muratore remaining in Partanna. Muratore is the manifest spelling; Muratora is retained from Sam’s birth index. Arrival date differs between manifest index and petition; see source 300.10.048. The original Partanna marriage act 3 identifies parents late Antonio Muratore and Giovanna Trinceri and marriage to Saverio Monasteri on 14 January 1906. She was unmarried, a homemaker, born and resident in Partanna. Recorded age 24 conflicts with petition birth 14 April 1882 (age 23 at marriage). The original birth act is now located and confirms the birth date and parents; see source 300.10.056. Source 300.10.055. Original Partanna birth act 179 records birth at 10 p.m. on 14 April 1882, declared by father Antonio on 16 April. Parents Antonio Muratore, 28, and his wife Giovanna Trinceri, 41, both farmers. A marginal note gives 14 January 1906 and Saverio Monasteri, independently correlating her marriage. Source 300.10.056. Original Partanna birth act 141 records their son Antonio, born 8 April 1909 at 11 p.m., declared 10 April at 8:50 a.m. Saverio is recorded as 28, farmer; Felicia as 27, homemaker and his wife. These ages are slightly higher than their other documented dates imply. Antonio fits their 12-year-old son in the 1921 manifest; identity with the later petition’s Tony remains unresolved. Source 300.10.057. Son Francesco (Frank) was born in Partanna on 8 August 1906 at 1 p.m. Felicia personally declared his birth on 12 August at 11:03 a.m. The original act records both parents as age 24 and explicitly states their lawful union. Source 300.10.058. Husband Saverio’s original birth act is now located and carries their 14 January 1906 marriage annotation naming Felicia Muratore. It gives his birth as 5 December 1881, differing from the later petition date. Source 300.10.059.
